    • Poor team. Poor draft. I only play 14 or larger team leagues. You need some strategies to be competitive in deeper formats. A few of your mistakes. 1 In larger leagues you can't draft the deep positions (qb, te, dst, k) early. It leaves too little room for quality picks elsewhere. You used up picks 2, 3, 8 & 9 on deep positions costing you dearly in the overall quality of your team. 2 There are perhaps 12 or so truly featured RBs in the entire NFL. You can't let 35 picks go by before you pick a RB! You can never catch up. 3 Dont draft timeshare RBs high (BJGE). There's simply too much uncertainty over their production. 4 In a short preseason rookies & free agents new to the teams system suffer most (Ingram & Floyd). 5 Why waste picks on backup kickers and tes? 6 There are A TON! of breakout candidates available in late rounds. Pick players with UPSIDE (you completely wasted picks 12-16; last year you could have drafted Hillis, Lloyd, BJGE & Run DMC there in most drafts). 7 You have to have enough depth at RB to survive injuries as it is the most injured position in the NFL. You have 3. You should have at least 5 in a 15 player team. Plus yours are poor at best.

      • Ol' Blues. I liked your post and want your take. Im in a 12 team money league. We can keep one player, but cant keep anyone we drafted in the first four (4) rounds. Also, we cant keep players two years in a row. Most of the top players are not keepable because they were selected in the first four rounds.

However, I hit a homer last year with Arian Foster in the 6th round. Im debating what position to take with my first round pick this year.

If I pick in the first six picks of round one (1), I think I will add another top RB. If I pick in the second half of the first round and the top RBs are out, I might go WR or shoot for Aaron Rogers.

Any thoughts? Any thoughts on what position to target for the first several rounds?

        Thx

    • why take 2 Ks and i think you took your 1st one way to early.
instead of gates i would have tried to get a better RB.
      just my 2 cents

    • you might not have a single starting running back on your team...probably someone from NO, but thats no backfield to invest in. id wait longer for qb's and te's and try to get better rb.
