Here's my team: Steven Jackson- Round 1 Marion Barber- Round 2 Tony Romo- Round 3 Roy Williams- Round 4 Vincent Jackson- Round 5 Matt Schaub- Aquired via trade, drafted round 6 Lee Evans- Round 6 Giants D- Round 7 Joseph Addai- Round 9 Seattle D- Round 10 Nate Burleson- Round 15 Steve Slaton- Free Agent Brent Celek- Free Agent Robbie Gould- Free Agent Donnie Avery- Free Agent Rashard Mendenhall- Free Agent
This is my first keeper league and need to learn strategy for keepers. We get to choose 3 players to keep but loose the draft pick from the round that player was picked up whether yourself or from a trade. If free agent we only loose a last round pick. I'm thinking of losing my 1st round pick and keeping Steven Jackson, loosing a last round 2 picks and keeping Slaton and Menhenhall since I got both on free agency . I don't mind keeping Steven Jackson since I'm sure there won't be a better running back then him since I get the 5th pick next season and it's a snake draft and my second pick will be 18th. What is the best strategy for keeper leagues? Go with for sure early rounders and loose those draft round next year or take some chances with breakout players and loose late round picks? Should I keep Schaub or Vincent Jackson instead of one of the 3 I mentioned? All feedback appreciated!
