Hmmm bit of a Dilemma ...

    My team is as follows:
    QB: P. Manning, Romo
RB: Tomlinson, Brown, Turner, Parker, McGahee
WR: Fitzgerald, Owens, Colston, Calvin Johnson
    TE: Gates, Scheffler
    K: Folk
    D: Chicago

Believe it or not, i am currently 3 and and in 5th place in my league (however, i do have the most fantasy points) ... just always seem to run into somebody hot in the head to head...

    Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 W/R, 1 K, and 1 D.

My problem is this, Chicago is on a bye this week and I need to pick up a defence. I really don't want to drop Chicago, because I will end up losing them. However, I really don't want to drop anyone off my current roster either. Who should I drop? I would say Scheffler, but, the problemn is I need him for next week as Gates is on a bye ... if I drop him, he will be picked up as well ... thoughts?

    • Drop McGahee ... even tho he gets starter carries he will never be an every down back with Rice and Mcclain ... Scheffler has some value esp now with Champ and Boss Bailey out in Denver, they will have to play from behind more and he will never be doubled with Marshall/Royal.

    • drop scheffler. based on your team, you're either in small league or you're in a league with a bunch of idiots. whatever the case, there are probably going to be plenty of viable options at tight end for the next week.

    • Depends on the scoring system, and what TEs would be available on waivers when Gates is on a bye. Groin injuries seem to linger, and with Gates, I'm leaning toward dropping Scheffler. Likely, you're only expecting 5-6 points from him anyway, vs 15+(with the right matchup) from your DEF.

Plug & play a DEF this week, drop Scheffler, then plug & play a TE next week. Best case scenario, you end up with Scheffler again. Worst case, you ride Gates the rest of the season.
