Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
In a 12-team H2H league with batting cats R, H, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OBP and pitching cats W, SV, K, HLDS, ERA, WHIP, K/BB. My team is 2nd in the league on a 5-game win streak coming off 11-3, 12-1, 12-0 wins. I should stay put tonight on deadline day but I got offered some intriguing trades...should I take either?
I get Jason Kipnis + Jordan Zimmerman and give up Brian Dozier + Wade Davis
I get Chris Davis and give up Duda + Wade Davis
My team is C- Mesoraco, 1B - Chris Carter, 2B - Dozier, 3B - Miggy, SS - Hanley, Solarte, OF - Werth, Duda, Yelich, Wil Myers, Calhoun, SP - Kershaw, Strasburg, Cobb, Liriano, Kyle Hendricks, RP - Kenley Jansen, Cishek, Melancon, Wade Davis, Boxberger, O'Day.
Davis has provided me with hidden value as I've played up to 6 RPs a day with his SP eligibility and I've been dominating pitching cats leading to blowout wins. Should I take either deal? And which deal would be best?
I've just been offered Papi + Lester + Colin McHugh for Duda + Hanley + Strasburg + Cobb. I don't think it's a bad offer but with me being on a tear, I'm unsure if I should make a big change. I'm unsure if my rotation is fine after this or if I can trust Solarte as my SS going forward and since I'm making the playoffs, I wonder if I'm losing Hanley's playoff production. What do you think?

I wouldn't make that trade. Stras and Cobb as a duo are much better than Lester and McHugh. Duda is difficult to judge because he was smashing the ball but now falls into a bit of a slump. Even so, he's still hitting as well as Ortiz. Neither is hitting over 255. Hanley is an injured mess but he still holds value and it seems like he's just kind of a give away in this deal as far as value is concerned. I'd want someone much better than McHugh or another quality player added before considering this offer.
You should just give up on fantasy baseball now if you take the Chris Davis deal. I would take the Zimmerman deal though. He's been very good all year and Dozier has been pretty terrible the last month or so after a great start to the year. Kipnis is giving about the same production right now anyways.
