Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
My season has tanked in my keeper league. Someone has proposed a trade to me for my 5th round pick next year in exchange for Bumgarner and his 8th round pick next year. Trying to decide if I should take the offer and keep Bumgarner for next year.
My potential keepers (keep 6).
*=for sure keeper
I am having trouble deciding which Kipnis is the real Kipnis; this year or last year? Taveras has potential and so does Arenado. Bumgarner has been solid for years and is still young, but I am wary of keeping pitchers.
Here are my draft picks that I currently have. I have 3 5th rounders, so giving 1 up isn't a big deal. Keepers take up the last 6 picks of the draft.
Round 4 (traded)
Round 5 (traded)
Round 5 (traded)
Round 11 (traded)
Round 15 (traded)
That is an AWFUL deal for the other manager. With 6 keepers, the 5th round is actually like an 11th round.
Idk how many teams it is, but if its 12, then that 5th round pick is gonna be a pick between 121-132, and the 8th you get back will be 168 at the worst. Pretty sure I'll downgrade from the guys you had snag between 120-130 in drafts typically, to who is available between 1550-170 in order to get Bum.
Btw, no idea why Chris Davis is a for sure keeper for you. He should be a for sure I need to trade this guy away to someone who apparently values him like you do.

Great point about Christ Davis being horrible this year. I know last year was a fluke, but I estimated a .260 30HR kind of year. This year has been awful, and the hope is that he can return to that .260/30HR form. I don't really have anyone else with that kind of ceiling to keep, so that is why he is a for sure keeper. I'd love to trade him if I could, but no one wants him right now.
