    • ESPN Tristan Cockroft's overall ratings going forward (stats up to now mean nothing) are as follows:
      Lackey #127 and Aybar #123
      Quintana #189 and Wright #42

It is only one man's opinion, but it is a good place to start when evaluating trades. I think the clear advantage is to the team who landed Wright - who appeared to be turning things around when the first half ended.

      • there is another ESPN "expert" article that predicts Quintana to have the same amount of wins as Lackey (5), more K's (73 to 65), a better ERA (3.68 to 3.99) and virtually the same WHIP (1.28 to 1.27). Yet ranks Lackey as the 64th best pitcher and Quintana the 70th.
It also has Aybar as the 46th best hitter and Wright 71st. Go figure.

Needless to say these rankings are a rough estimate and no one knows. All we have is past results to go on

I'd be the team getting Wright so yeah I agree that its an advantage haha. Thanks for the input
