Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I get: Miguel Cabrera
I Give: Jay Bruce, Dustin Pedroia, Craig Kimbrel
5x5 roto, 3-year keeper league (5 keepers per team)
I'm in good shape at 1b/3b/CI w/out Cabrera (Goldschmidt, Donaldson, Encarnacion...all keepers), and dealing Bruce will leave me a little short in the OF, but is this a deal I need to take anyway? I have a UTIL spot, so I'll get everyone in my lineup....OF and 2b on the FA list is pretty slim, though I did just pick up Alcantara for 2b (jury's still out on him...but a good start)
Stubbs (we play 4 OF)
Fair deal? Am I giving up too much? Do I hurt my team too much by dealing away these guys?

Britton, McGee, and I picked up Giles in case Papelbon gets dealt...but my closer situation w/out Kimbrel wouldn't be a huge concern. It's mainly trying to upgrade a keeper for next year....I don't want to keep any of those 3 guys, but right now, I'd be keeping at least one of them
I would def make deal seeing how you only keep 5 keepers. If dynasty it would be a little harder. Then I would shop around for a rental 2B till next yr (draft). Alcantara has showed alot of promise and could stick around as I think the cubs may play him all over field. I may try to flip donaldson for keeper worthy 2B/SS (package rollins or escobar maybe) or pitcher
I think it's a good deal for you. Seems like a lost season for Pedroia and they could shut him down later on if they stay out of contention.
I'd try to find a way to get a 2B and/or OF before your trade deadline but this seems like the value is too good to pass up. Plus you'll have some premium assets to move if necessary.
