    Longo for Ellsbury deal

    who is the better option in a keeper league? leaning towards Ells

    • I think it definitely depends on the rest of your roster. Its hard to make that call without knowing how many you keep and who else you may have. Being a keeper league its not very often 3B breakout or develop into top tier guys and all the 3B who would likely be major contributes will be kept by there owners. Where OF is a position where you can often get value either in the draft or on the wire. Ellsbury speed is a commodity though and definitely offers a different element which makes it a difficult call.

    • I like Ellsbury. I see Ellsbury as a 4 stat guy, lacking only true hr power.
      Longoria is good for runs, hrs, and rbi, but doesn't get you sb and only ok at hitting for avg.

      .20-.30 better avg, plus 30-40 more sb on the year is more valuable than an extra 10-15 hr to me

    • Thats a tough call, cant go wrong with either but I agree, I'd go with Ellsbury too. Longoria is tough because he plays a premium position at 3B and still has good years ahead of him.

      But I'd go Ellsbury, but its close.
