I just got offered Justin Verlander for my matt adams...i know verlanders been struggling, but this is a keeper league. I have Morales and encarnacion who i can play at 1BThis topic is deleted.
matt adams is third in the NL in BA (.328), and fifth in the NL in SLG (.535). he may have more keeper value than you are anticipating. i understand his recent power outbreak can be largely attributed to coors and maybe this is the perfect buy low/sell high, but something is telling me thats not the case. i would hold onto adams if i owned him
If you have the option of not keeping Verlander, I say go for it. If you are fighting for a championship and have to have the hitting, then no. If you need to make a drastic move to become competitive, I would take it.
Are you a gambler? Play it safe? No matter what you do, you could regret it. Then again, you may celebrate a trophy on the mantle. Adams wont be an elite keeper, so his loss isnt significant, but should Verlander regain his dominance, it could be a difference maker.
There. Could you ask for a more flaky answer?

Adams power surge has only been recent. He's good for batting average though. I have edwing, bautista, and desmond still for power. My SP is weaver, shields, hudson, gallardo, and richards. I feel like i could use another good arm, but verlander has been sketchy
