Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Should this trade be vetoed? Who do you think won?
8x8 league (Batters Stat Categories: Runs (R), Hits (H), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Total Bases (TB), Batting Average (AVG), On-base + Slugging Percentage (OPS)
Pitchers Stat Categories: Wins (W), Saves (SV), Strikeouts (K), Holds (HLD), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP), Quality Starts (QS)
Tanner Roark Was - SP,RP
Chris Sale CWS - SP
Koji Uehara Bos - RP
José Bautista Tor - RF
Danny Santana Min - 2B,SS,CF
Jered Weaver LAA - SP
Who really won the trade? In a keeper, team A made a killing. In a 1 year league, offense is generally much more valuable. Bautista = 7 categories Sale = 5 categories, Uehara = 3 categories. Though ERA/WHIP are crossover categories. This is not a vetoable trade under any circumstance, unless you are jealous?
Don't veto. If its not collusion, then there is no reason to veto. I'm guessing Team A needed pitching and could afford to let Bautista go, while Team B needed a big bat. Don't be a jerk and veto a trade because you think someone "won" the trade. Trades make Roto fun as long as both teams are trying to make themselves better.
