Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
10 team H2H, standard stats plus hits, TB, and OPS
I was just offered Ryan Zimmerman for Zach Wheeler and Andrew Heaney. I would get Zimmerman and I would give up Wheeler and Heaney.
My pitching is...
Wheeler and Heaney
My SP has been my weak point this season but I also might have a hole at 3rd base. Right now I have Lawrie and Chisenhall at 3rd base. I'm not sure I trust Chisenhall yet, so I like the idea of getting a proven 3rd baseman just in case.
I like Heaney's potential but I just picked him up last week, so I could sell high on him after 1 start. I could also pick up Danny Duffy after this who could be similar to Heaney anyway. I also have Taijuan Walker in my NA spot waiting to come up, who again... could post similar numbers as Wheeler ROS.
I'm thinking this is a no brainer, but I wanted to get some thoughts first. Thanks.
I like it for you. In a 10-team league, I think it's a good decision to move two good SP for a legit starting corner infielder.
I own Wheeler and Heaney in a 12-team league, and I like them both. Heaney is probably worth as much right now as he ever will be, because he's actually up and the hype hasn't subsided yet; Wheeler is solid and I've had faith in him all season, but he's only 50ish% owned so I'm a bit surprised someone is making a move for him in a 10-team league. And Zimmerman is a clear upgrade over Lawrie and Chisenhall.
I'm sure there'll be times through the rest of the season when Wheeler and Heaney make you feel bad for trading them away. But Walker should give you pretty good numbers, and Duffy would also be a good option - or just keep the extra spot open for streaming pitchers. If Alex Wood is available in your league, he'd also be a great add with Floyd going down yesterday.
