Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Jigga: I own Walker(also in 2013) and I can see a major difference in his offense this season. Worked very hard on his right handed hitting during offseason and it's showing. I'd keep Walker but it's close!
Yikes, that's a tough one. I co-manage a team that owns Zoby, and I think he's probably a .270/12hr/12sb guy this year. Not great numbers, but solid for a 2b especially when he also has eligibility at SS and OF - I love that kind of flexibility. But Walker has proven that he can be a .280-.290 hitter, and I believe he can be a 20+hr guy this year. Zoby at age 33 probably isn't going to experience a resurgence to his .290avg/20hr days, but Walker at age 28 is still coming into his own and could reasonably exceed his career highs this year.
Obviously you want to get rid of one of them in order to make room for Taveras, but I'd hate to outright drop either one. Maybe you package Zobrist plus a starting pitcher for an upgrade at starting pitcher?
