Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I'm in a 12-team H2H league with 7x7 cats with batting (R, H, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OBP) and pitching (W, SV, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP, K/BB). I'm thinking of making these offers to people to try to sell high on Lohse or Hammel as I want to clear up rotation space for Dillon Gee to return.
I get Jose Bautista + Jason Grilli and give up Jacoby Ellsbury + Jason Hammel + Brian Shaw
I get Steve Cishek and give up Kyle Lohse + Brian Shaw
My team is C - Salvador Perez, 1B - Eric Hosmer, 2B - Matt Carpenter, 3B - Donaldson, SS - Everth Cabrera, OF - Ellsbury, Werth, Michael Brantley, Garrett Jones, SP - Kershaw, Strasburg, Cingrani, Hammel, Lohse, Pomeranz, RP - Kenley Jansen, Joakim Soria, Mark Melancon, Shaw, Brad Ziegler
Are either of these trades worth offering for me?
Hey Nandan! 1) I trust lohse way more than Hammel. Better offense behind him too. 2) Obviously I trust Cishek just a little more RIGHT NOW given grilli's comeback. Grilli comes in gets a save first time then he's unavailable next day. Could be just working him easy,I guess. 3) Of course Joey Bats is biggest piece here and hard to resist. 4) I'll put this out there as I read it a couple of hours ago but it pertains to your SP's. Reds Manager said Simon & Cingrani both NOW pitching to see who stays when Latos return. I thought Simon would lose out(I own him too) but Manager seemed serious. As it stands now Cingrani losing that battle. Therefor it makes better sense,IMO, to hold onto better SP which is Loshe,IMO again. I'd go for trade #1 myself. Others may disagree but that's my view onit,Nandan. Good luck either way you go.
