Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I don't know if I'm just getting unfavorable match ups (weekly h2h 12 cats), or if I should just give up on my team and start making a ton of moves.. The talent is there. I have won this league 2 straight years with my buddies and am getting a ton of #$%$ from everyone for being in last place. I think I might be oblivious so any advice helps a ton with moves I should do or wait it out. Here is my roster.
C - Posey
1B - Prince/Freeman
2B - D. Murphy/Utley
SS - Hanley
3B - Miguel/Machado
OF - Myers, Melky, Yelich, Gardner, Eaton
Grilli,LaTroy Hawkins, Joe Smith
Thanks guys any help appreciated greatly.. I'm in last place and down 2-9 this week.
You mostly need to be patient. Your OF isn't great, but you have a solid IF and a good catcher so overall your offense is pretty good. Your SP isn't the best, but it should be enough to compete and you will be helped quite a bit by Iwakuma's return.
keeper or re-draft league?
offense is ok, but lacks power for a 10 team league. What is the other cat? OBP, OPS? Fielder will never be what he was, hanley is more .280/25 realistically. Your pitching is weak for a 10 team league. Iwakuma is overated, kuroda and cain are on the decline and harang and dickey should not be owned in a 10 team re-draft league at this point. 3 closers with one injured is also not ideal. You may have to buy low on some players and hope, like Cain for Bailey? maybe you could get ciskek? If prince gets hot I would deal him for a SP.
