    Any recommendations for beginner's team?

    H2H 12 team league
    - I'm trying to trade Fielder + alpha for quality CF (McCutchen, Harper, etc.) or for Cano
    - Weak relief pitching: I think it would be better for me to pick someone up during the season rather than trying to trade for someone

    C - Wilin Rosario
    1B - Chris Davis
    2B - Ian Kinsler
    3B - Josh Donaldson
    SS - Jhonny Peralta
    LF - Allen Craig
    CF - Colby Rasmus
    RF - Jay Bruce
    Util - Prince Fielder

    Christian Yelich
    Jonathan Villar
    Jose Abreu
    Nelson Cruz
    Brandon Moss

    SP - Jose Fernandez
    SP - Jordan Zimmermann
    SP - Sonny Gray
    SP - Ivan Nova
    RP - Andrew Cashner
    RP - Joakim Soria
    RP - Joaquin Benoit
    P - Yordano Ventura

    • Saves are worthless. This is actually pretty good for a 12 teamer. I would go ahead and drop Yelich/Villar for SPs. Or grab one SP and stream with the other.

    • In most H2H leagues you do not want position players cluttering up your bench rotting. You want to stockpile SP's that then stream then in and out of your rotation to maximize W's and K's. Concentrate on picking up SP's who might not have terrific K rates but have a low WHIP. You can win a category that is often forgotten about that way.

Most H2H leagues have playoffs in September. You do not need to need to be the top team in the regular season. You just have to be good enough to make the playoffs. I would work on acquiring RP's during the season with the goal of being competitive in Saves by September. Go ahead and punt Steals. You do not need to win every category in H2H! Stockpiling power is a great way for a beginner to do very well in H2H fantasy baseball! Davis and Fielder are a terrific combo to build your power game around. Keep both of them!

    • That's a great power lineup for a 12 team league. I don't usually review teams but I do have a couple of comments for you that may help. I don't play H2H. In roto you can't punt categories and still win. You are pretty much punting steals and saves here. Those are two areas you can work on improving. I'd consider dropping Rasmus if you can find a good SB guy in the free agent pool. I also think you can do better than Villar. See if you can get a multi position guy. I'd also see about upgrading Nova. Not a big fan. Good luck.

    • trade Davis for a elite CF or a package involving a very good cf and sp since you have Fielder and Abreu to replace him.

    • I would hold on to what you have. There is noway I would want Cano for Fielder. Feilder has more upside and His HR count will go up at the Balkpark at Arlington.
