Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
12 team, H2H, standard.
Some things I noticed and would have liked to fix were: my lack of power (as in not having a player or two who can get in the top 10 in HR and RBI), stretching for Rosario earlier than I should have, picking the .233 Alvarez to make up for my lack of power, and not selecting a second closer. Other than that I'm happy with it. Thoughts welcome!

Your team looks good with the exceptions of Napoli, Alvarez, and Morneau.
You need to jettison both Napoli or Morneau immediately. You do not need two 1B only players to backup Craig. You already have Daniel Murphy.
You need to find a suitable replacement for Alvarez.
I would package Napoli and Alvarez together to the guy(s) in your league that "digs the long ball" and neglects BA, SB, and every other category. That guy would think it is a major score to land both Napoli and Alvarez....just make sure it is a 2-for-1 deal and that you snag an upgrade at 3B. Then add a multi-position eligible player with your open roster spot.

Thanks, just a mock though so if it were a league I would sift through all possible backups throughout the year, just kind of grabbed some bench bats. I know I shouldn't have reached for Alvarez but I felt I lacked power. I drafted 8 bats, then went to pitchers, so if I had held off a round more I would've got a better UTIL than Napoli. Thanks for your response.
You know, its not the sexiest team I've seen - and there doesn't seem to be a lot of room for growth - but it should get the job done. Your power numbers shouldn't really be all that bad. Sure you may not have someone in the top 5-10, but across the whole team they should be pretty good.
The main issues would be your utility/bench hitters have a complete lack of upside, IMHO, and the obvious lack of saves.

Yeah I know what you mean, and I guess I have enough power a bunch of 20+ guys and Alvarez (for now) who hit 36 I believe. The bench is just to warm the seat until I start looking after the draft, it's hard to pinpoint best bench bats in a draft. The closer thing is also the issue. Thanks.
Mocks are so different from a real draft the teams is fine Alverez is a great later rd 3BASE GRAB he gets better every season and has alot of power your in H2H avg means less then producing HR -RBI-RUNS
yea not a fan of alvarez on this team, you have too many other good avg producers and to just throw alvarez in and completely screw it up seems like a mistake. minor, medlen, beachy, and wood? seems like you have a thing for the braves rotation. thats probably something i would not do. and i would not want rodney as my only closer
