Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Who do you prefer on your team - I currently have Hamilton on mine in a dynasty league. Have Lindor for SS right now but he will not be up until at best mid-season.
I would definetly keep Hamilton if its a roto league. Having him on our team ensures you of a top 2 spot in the categories every year. Profar is as mundane as it gets he will help in several categories but just a little not enough to change any categories by himself.. Hamilton is a category beast.
I don't value either one short term or long term.
Profar gets rave reviews from scouts but I haven't seen any talent displayed when I watch his games.
Hamilton is a one trick pony. The absolute best you can ever expect from him is Vince Coleman type numbers. Too bad he can't even put up Willie McGee type numbers.
I have a similar delimna in that I need to choose one to keep in a keeper's league. Where I'm at, I think Hamilton has more trade value...I plan on keeping him in hopes of flipping to fill a hole. I think Profar is a better real-life baseball player than he is fantasy baseball player.
Who do you have at 2B? B/c Profar will probably only qualify for 2B next year. Something to consider.
In my opinion Profar is the better of the two. He is a 2b/ss guy who was the #1 prospect in MLB last year. Hamilton is guy who is only going to give you SB's. He is #37 ranked prospect this year!!!! He hit .256 in the minors with no power of RBI's. He is strictly a one category fantasy player for the most part.....although he will win that cat for you by himself.
