Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
In my 10-team head-to-head league we have to pick 2 3-year keepers, 2 2-year keepers and 2 1-year keepers.
I wasn't good last year, so compared to some other teams my selection of players probably looks a little down.
Right now my potential keeper list looks like this:
3 year- Freddie Freeman/Matt Harvey
2 year- Matt Moore/Jason Heyward
1 year- ?/?
I am open to moving Heyward to the 1-year status.
Other players I am considering to fill my open slots are Jurickson Profar, Starlin Castro, Josh Donaldson, Tony Cingrani, Sonny Gray and Jeff Smardijza.
Any input is welcome. Thank you
Thanks you three.
Especially supercorb, hadn't really thought about it exactly like that. I was figuring I'd keep Harvey in that 3-year spot to make sure I still had control over him the following two years. But how you put it, will make me mull over those suggestions before I decide what to do.
First off you should drop Harvey. With him being out the entire year due to Tommy John surgery it doesn't make sense to waste a year of keeper eligibility on him. You can always target him later in the draft to get him back on your team.
Gray and Cingrani should be the top two you are looking at keeping. Followed by Castro and Profar. Normally I like to have the majority of my keepers be hitters, but the strength of your team seems to be pitching. You can always trade Moore/Gray/Cingrani in order to improve your hitting.
