Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
With the majority of players (current and prospect) unavailable, I'm trying to find the BEST VALUE with my first and second overall picks in a dynasty league. I''m an expansion team so I need some help everywhere. I already have a base team and need to fill it out, now and for the future. I really need pitching and prospect bats. Here are some of the players available that I'm leaning toward....
I'd go Bryant and Abreu. Assuming you need help, batters show the most consistent value year over year, so when rebuilding I try to focus on them first and then find pitching which is more fickle.
Tanaka and Abreu. Both unknown but tremendous upside. V-Mart-- power declining and probable DH only eligibility. Bryant--your OF looks OK as is. As an expansion team, do you get the first two picks? Abreu or Tanaka won't be there if you have to snake thru 32 picks.
I'd want Tanaka and Bryan, but I'm not a big Abreu fan. What are your prospect rules? If you can only take a limited number of prospects a year I'd take Abreu over Bryant. The gap between Bryant and the other prospect you get is going to be smaller than Abreu and the other roster player you'd have to replace him.
None of those you listed are worth considering.
Also, I don't think anybody can make reasonable recommendations without knowing your entire roster, the number of teams in your league, and the style of play (H2H or roto).

16 team, eventually going to 20. Roto. These are several of the "top" players in the draft. It goes downhill quickly from there. Max of 44 players per team w/minors. A couple other prospect names of note would be Clint Frazier and Austin Meadows. Team now is
Id grab some guys not on your list, Baez/Correa/Russell are a few. Gregory Polanco maybe, but if its just that list id want Bryant and one of the pitchers, probably Tanaka but I think hell get roughed up in east
