Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Which one would you keep over the other? I already have Adam Jones, Hanley Ramirez, Dustin Pedroia, Felix Hernandez, Madison Bumgarner, Allen Craig. Head to head, 12 teams, standard cats plus total bases and OBP. Thanks ahead of time.

Thank you for responding. Who should I keep? We keep seven, no restrictions. I am almost inclined to Keep Carpenter, Holliday and Craig but I feel like that is too many of one team to have rostered. When the cards were hot this year it was great but when they slumped it killed my productions obviously. I am a big beleiver in pitch and ditch as you can see with some of those guys like Gray, Kelly, Wacha were decent down the stretch but I liked have two aces to anchor my pitching. My roster is as follows:
C- Carlos Ruiz
1B- Allen Craig
2B- Dustin Pedroia
SS- Hanley Ramirez
3B- Manny Machado
OF- A. Jones, Matt Holliday, Matt Carpenter
UTIL- Will Middlebrooks, BIlly Butler
SP- Felix Hernandez, Mat Latos, Madison Bumgarner, Michael Wacha, Sunny Gray, Chris Archer, Joe Kelly
RP- Romo, Clippard, Greg HOlland, Mark Melancon
I'm not sure why Holliday is looked down upon the way he is on these forums a lot. Carpenter's value is his position, for sure. Much fewer good options at 2B. But, Holliday is as consistent as they come. In this supposed "down year" that is no longer his prime, he finished with 100+ runs, 22HR, 94RBI, and a 300 average. He was the 23rd ranked player on the season. Yeah, Carpenter was better, but he may have also just had a career year. We really don't know yet with Carpenter, where Holliday is almost guaranteed to put up similar numbers next year.
In short, I'd keep Holliday. You already have Pedroia at 2B anyway.
I would only keep either Bumgarner OR Felix. Offense more important. Tina swear your question though I would go with Carpenter. Guys like Holiday can be found on the waiver wire. Even in his prime years, he has the stats that are marginally better than what is available. Having the league runs leader on your squad is big.
