OK he has been VERY BAD over his past 4 starts, but that is not the only reason as he had been VERY SOLID until those last 4 starts. Here is the other reason. I am in 1st so I get a 1st round bye. This is important because the way I figure it he would only get 2 starts (in the H2H playoffs) even if I advance to the championship round. Add to that his lack of Ks & I think it was the right decision to make. What do yall think? Thanks!!
good job. I would not drop miller in keeper but do not start him against above average opponents. his whip has been so #$%$ awful lately a slave would be indifferent to his lashings and continue to steal sugar from his kitchen
Other considerations are past matchups i.e. the last four starts, and future matchups. I am on the fence about dropping Gio but I haven't yet pulled the trigger for those reasons. I'd also consider who you added.

I added Coco Crisp as I needed a bench hitter (and if Craig is out I needed a LF). Crisp is on fire & I was going to have to drop a SP at some point anyhow. I considered Gio (and if he struggles some more I may still drop him upon the return of Buchholz), but he has looked a little better lately (tho the matchups were certainly not daunting) & he offers Ks. Plus the Nats are playing better as a team than they were earlier this year.
Most SPs will get 3 starts in the championship week because the championship week actually encompasses 2 weeks.
Beyond that...the logic behind your move is befuddling and it would only make sense if you make a logical pickup after dropping Kuroda.

#$%$ Kuroda will only get 2 starts in that time period. Also I was going to have to drop 1 SP (maybe 2 depending on how Buchholz looks upon his return). If you combine the fact he would only get 2 starts, his lack of Ks, & his recent slide I think the decision to drop him is very sound.
