Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I just took over a dynasty league team - Trying to figure out how to best make some tweaks and looking for any input. I think I should trade some of the starting pitching depth to improve my bats, thoughts? Comment for me and I'll comment on yours.

I would be moving Braun, Sabathia, Verlander, Cobb ( sell high/ having career year), Buerhle, Bailey (sell high), Gio, Craig, A-Rod and all of your closers. Build around Strasburg. Chances are you are not going to make a comeback from last place...and with all of those names you should be able to get some nice pieces. There will always be an A-Rod fan that will be willing to pay something for him...even if he has low value.

Yea I know the SP situation is ridiculous hoping to be able to deal some of them - Not super attached to any of them for something.
Revere is taking up one of the 5 DL spots so not too worried about that.
Waiver wire is pretty then so waiting to drop Rodriguez.
Depends if u can compete or not this year to win. It looks like a decent roster, but having to take over usually means you get a lower team. If this is a lower team
I think that Molina, Kendrick, pence, verlamder, Gonzalez, and one of the guys on the DL for SP are all strong possibilities to trade. They're great players I know, but this may be a good time to trade them based on your ranking in the league(if you aren't a contender) and their ages. They're still at good ages, but after a year or two they won't be and their values will drop. I only say one of the DL SP to use in a specific trade. Can't give up all 29 year olds for 24 year olds unless you're that lucky. So adding one of these young guys in will make the trade better in the eyes of the other person. I would avoid trading Desmond, Rizzo, and don't drop revere. Nasty injury but prime player for CF I like the average and speed combo in players.

Thanks for the post - the team is in last but i am not sure how much of that was the previous manager and how much is the roster - I definitely agree with your thoughts on trying to trade some of the more aging players
