Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
8 team h2h and I have Segura, Reyes, and Tulo. From a versatility standpoint it seems it might be wise to go after a 1B with one of my shortstops so I would have multiple options at pretty much every spot. But I don't want to trade just to be trading. So, which shortstop would you trade (if any) and who should I go after with them?
One trade I'm in talks about is me giving Reyes/Machado/Masterson/Betencourt for Goldy/Sale. This would clear up the space I need to activate Tulo and Bucholz from the DL and Rodney or Veras are available in F/A to replace Betencourt. Thoughts?
OF Trout, Bautista, Puig
UT Holliday, Reyes
SP: Waino, Mad-Bum, Miller, Greinke, Medlin, Garza, Fernandez, Teheran, Masterson
RP: Grilli, Mujica, Jansen, Betencourt
first off you should move Holliday to the bench and put Machado in the lineup, right now. i know Holliday just hit a HR yesterday but hes struggled all year. then if i was going to trade i would trade reyes.

Those are the two guys that most often ride the bench. I swap them in and out depending on matchups. Holliday is having a disappointing year by his standards and Machado has been a great breakout star, but when it comes right down to their counting stats in fantasy; Holliday has matched or outproduced Machado in every category but average.
If you are willing to trade Reyes, then I like the trade for Goldy/Sale. Reyes and Tulo are injury risks and with Masterson and Betencourt you free up space and have to have less anxiety if you decide to work the waiver wire going into the home stretch for pitching.
i'd move tulo only cause he's an injury bug an the next one is right around the corner reyes is a solid an segura has dipped but braun will be coming back soon an might help segura's at bats
You will get most from Tulo and Reyes based on name. Iw ouldn't worry about Segura falling off. You should also deal Puig while eveyrone wants him, leverage that. Go for a 1B upgrade, and find a way to get Machado in the lineup, he is a waste on the bench.
I would be looking to package Grienke, Puig, Bautista, Miller, Medlen, and Teheran with one or both veteran SS. These are all guys ready to hit a wall or that have name value.

Thanks. I hate Machado on the bench also. I work him in ocassionally based on matchups, but there is no one on my team I could sit on a regular basis for him.
What do you think of the Reyes/Machado/Masterson/Betencourt for Goldy/Sale trade? I'm worried about losing SB from Reyes.
