    Chase Headley

I never liked him and was shocked by his out of nowhere power display last year. He's been so bad this year he was dropped in one of my leagues. Having gone through almost every thirdbaseman in the waiver pool after Middlebrooks rotted out I'm desperate. Who thinks that Headley will continue to hit .220 and be useless - or will he remember something of his past and be productive in the second half? Thoughts

    • killa croc has just exhibited a fine display of sarcasm, i would have just said, NO to headley. I drafted him pretty high but droopped his #$%$ 1.5months ago. got carpenter there now. try for pedro alvarez whilst he's hot.

    • Headley is a stud. Especially in leagues that have OBP as a stat. The guy who dropped him is an idiot. Grab him. I'd use a #1 waiver on him. He wont go ham like he did last year but he could give u 10-12 HR, 5-10 SB, 40 R, 40 RBI and a solid .280/.370. Another guy that could help u at 3B who is a nice buy low guy is Martin Prado.

      • LOL - Actually, .280/10/12 would be a vast improvement over what I had in the first half. I do agree that Headley has totally sucked in the first half but he also totally sucked in the first half last year before going nuts afterwards. You can look it up. I picked him up and stuck him on the far end of my bench. He gets two weeks to turn it around. You also mention Prado as a joke too I think but Prado is a career .300 hitter who plays all defensive positions except 1B. He was dropped in my league too and I picked him up for the bench.
