Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Roto non keeper standard league plus holds. 1500 innings limit and I'm already slightly above pace.
With the innings limit, I needed to drop a starter and I also had more closers than I could play. So I traded Mujica/Cole/Gattis for Pujols and Peavy (who I will instantly drop). Good move or no? Here's my team after the the trade. I need upgrades at Catcher and maybe SS. Any suggestions for the best way to do that? I'm currently tied for first and competing in all categories. I'm pretty far down with HR but I think that should turn around after some recent moves. I'm up in R/SB/BB but I'm concerned if I trade guys like Marte, M. Carp etc that I'll lose ground there.
OF J. Upton
BN: Matt Carpenter, A. Cabrera, Rendon,
SP: Kershaw, Wainwright, Sale, Latos
HLD: Melancon, Hunter, Duensing (I roster Hunter and Duensing because they have SP eligibility which means I can play them at the same time as all my closers)
SV: Jansen, Janssen, Street, Cishek, Putz
DL: Chris Perez
Yea, i woulda thought you could have gotten someone better than pujols. Not saying he's terrible, just having an off year. Cole has alot of upside being so young, good move moving Gattis though. Hes bound to die out here soon. You should have went for an upgrade at catcher. Maybe a Mauer or Santana.
I would believe you could have gotten someone else and not Peavy.
It's essentially Pujols for Mujica/Cole/Gattis.
But, that being said, you did get one good player for two question marks and one closer.
