    Trading King Felix

I have contemplated the idea of trading him all year due to his +200 innings pitched that last 5 years. Here is my team:
    C: Victor Martinez
    1B: Billy Butler
    2B: Jason Kipnis
    SS: Yunel Escobar
    3B: Pablo Sandoval
    OF: Trout, Heyward, Stanton
    Util: Yasiel Puig
BN: Marco Scutaro, Michael Cuddyer, Mark Reynolds

SP: King Felix, Bumgarner, Shelby Miller, Hisashi Iwakuma, Doug Fister, Ervin Santana
    RP: Chapman, Mariano, Heath Bell

We get to keep 8 guys each year, and I would be looking to get either Fielder, Longoria, or Jean Segura as the main center piece. I will be targeting Longoria first, but not sure who to choose between Fielder or Segura if I had to go that route. I was looking at sending him the offer of Felix and Sandoval FOR Longoria and Lance Lynn. Would I be getting enough in return for Felix?

    • I think you are kidding yourself. I don't think Felix commands anything close to any of those 3.

    • Lynn and Longo for Felix is fair. In a bubble you even win. And Longo would be a nice upgrade at 3B. But then what do you do with Panda when he's healthy? Play the guessing game and watch streaks to determine whether to start Puig or Heyward in the OF and then play Panda at UT? That would be okay, but I prefer the approach of having one solid top to bottom A lineup. And if you're looking to build that you need more help at Shortstop or 1B. So, if it were my team, I'd look to upgrade one of those positions instead of 3B, where you already have an okay player. Maybe you could package Felix with either Butler, Escobar (or maybe Heyward or Panda if you get creative) and see if you can get an okay pitcher in return plus upgrade at SS and/or 1B.
