Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
this is a Dynasty points league in it's first year. prospects become available as they hit MLB roster. I have a #2 waiver position and will still be able to pick up someone like Taveras, Myers, Cole, etc. before Puig got a call I would have done it in a heartbeat. but after seeing him play I'm having second thoughts.
I believe Harper is actually younger than Puig. Both have equally tremendous potential. I'm worried about Harper's knee for this season. Of course Harper has guaranteed playing time when healthy and nobody knows what will happen with Puig once Crawford and Kemp come back.
I'm not that high on Wheeler based on his PCL stats and the fact that he'll be pitching for the Mets. There are a bunch of highly touted arms in the minors right now so I don't know how much extra value he adds to this deal.
Start off by not reading his answer, just hacking on ya Bebops. Puig stepped up in the 8th inning last night in a 1-0 game and quickly made it 5-0 so the pressure didn't bother him a bit. He's got what it takes and if you have doubts then I'd let the trade sit there a while or see if you can get more from the trade originator.
I wouldn't read into too many answers you get on this. Dynasty deals are nearly impossible to judge, especially when your dealing with guys that have had 72 hrs of experience and none whatsoever. Harper is the proven commodity, so that's the guy I would want. I mean the kid is still 20-21 and is getting better, so it's not like he's an aging veteran in the twilight of his career.
