Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Hi folks. This is the same team as my last post. This is a 12 team, roto, & 5x5 league. I'm looking to get a top SP to help my team. I'm wanting to buy low on Cain. I just got offered this trade:
My: R. Soriano & Valverde
I don't want to give up two closers to get Cain. I was thinking of countering with one of the closers & a lesser SP.
My team: Offense: C - McCann (I'm addressing my catcher need next), 1B - Votto, 2B - Kipnis, SS - A. Escobar, 3B - Zimmerman, OF - Holliday, Choo, Pence, Util - Fielder, Crawford, Bench - Konerko, Willingham, Bourn, & Aram
Pitching: SP: Lester, Buchholz, Kennedy, C.J. Wilson, Dempster, Greinke (DL spot)
RP: R. Soriano, Putz, Frieri, Valverde
I'll answer your posts too. Thanks!

I like the deal for you, and I would pull the triger but its never a bad idea to try and offer less to see what happens, putz and valverde is what I would offer. Soriano and Frieri i like the most on your team try and keep them
I had Cain last year and he was awesome till the last month where this trend of being hittable started.....I wouldn't do the trade with Soriano and Valverde. Maybe CJ Wilson and Frieri.....your SP isn't bad (Kennedy will hopefully start pitching better, but I'm not a fan of Wilson). If he wants 2 relievers in return I would say Frieri (who will eventually lose his spot and isn't pitching well) with either Valverde or Putz (JJ has 3 blown saves already), but not Soriano.
