I have Jeter in my keeper league and with him out until the all star break I think I'll need another SS as I only have Cozart so I have been offered this
My first though it no as Aybar is on the DL but for how long and even though he might come off soon, he does play on the angels who are really struggling at the moment, but they should turn it around right, if not then it could be hard for him to produce even though he started off well. So what do you think I mean can Young keep it up
here is my lineup
Derek Jeter DL
well an update on the trade, He accepted my counter offer in which
2014 Rd 11 Draft Pick
2014 Rd 13 Draft Pick
So it sounded like more of you ended up saying I would have won the original trade but now I think I win it even more and or at least add some insurance in case Aybar's injury turns out to be more serious and or hampering to his production.
Aybar is not much of an improvement over Cozart, IMO. Cozart looks like he will go 20 HR, 80 R, 60 RBI's. His BA is "ehh" but the difference in Aybar's .290 and Cozart's .250 is about 1 base hit per week.
What difference does that make for a team in H2H that gets 250 AB's per week? Answer: Not very much.
Meanwhile, you give up a useful, multi-position player in Young, and bench Cozart. I submit that Aybar will spend a good deal of time on your bench when Cozart is hot ... that is, after he comes off the DL.

thank you very much for the insightful opinion. While I hope Cozart can produce numbers at or better than you said, I just don't know he can keep up. Also in terms of losing a multi position guy, I have plenty of other multi position guys such as Trumbo, Murphy, Nelson, and Johnson so It won't be as huge of a hit. Also Young is old and can he keep up or will he start to fade. So while I do lose in some categories I do gain in Speed and BA which helps lessen the loss in the other categories. I also have a util spot so I can always play one of the guys there and once Jeter comes back healthy I can probably make a trade and trade any one of these 3 guys later on.
Thanks again for your insights it is very much appreciated

ok well I countered just for the fact that Aybar is on the DL and even though his injury doesn't look serious you never know, I mean look at Jeter. so I just countered with this.
11th round draft pick
13th rd draft pick
basically the draft picks are just a minor insurance policy just in case Aybar's injury is more serious and or hampers his production.
