Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
this just happened in my 10 team roto league.
team 1 gave
team 2 gave
Felix Hernandez (was a keeper)
what are your thoughts on this one?? i understand Heyward had a decent year and prado has multi position, but no other stats besides average....peavy is a shot in the dark to start more than 15 games...for one of the best pitchers in the baseball...i dont see where this is fair. IMO
You are obviously grossly biased towards Felix. Heyward should continue to progress upward. You can't live by last year's stats alone. Felix ADP is around 20, Heyward around 31. To say Peavy is only good for 15 starts is a stretch. What was your offer for Felix? Let managers manage their own teams.

Heyward will continue to get better and if the Braves drop him out of the #2 slot his RBI could be over 100 along with 30HR. Peavy is definitely the risk in this trade. Peavy started 32 games last year but the last time he started 30 games was in 2007. He is definitely a HUGE injury risk.
i didnt make an offer for Felix nor am i bias towards him...i just think a relying on Peavy to be healthy, the possibility that "This will finally be Heywards year" and Prado will get you another stat besides average is a stretch for 200+ K's, around a 3.00 ERA and 1.00 WHIP is a stretch. just me.
Look at it this way.. In a 10 team league, the only thing Team 2 is giving up is a badass SP, the rest involved are waiver wire fodder. Team 1 gave up Heyward and Prado. In a 10 team league there are plenty of nice pickups as far as SP goes
