Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Keepers are tied to draft picks in our league - can keep 6
Miguel Cabrera - 1st round
Andrew McCutcheon - 2nd round
Kinsler - 4th round
Butler - 14th round
Goldschmidt - 12th round
Craig - 20th round
Weaver - 9th round
Dickey - 21st round
Sandoval - 11th round
W. Rosario and S. Perez - 22nd round for each.
Planning on keeping Cabrera, McCutcheon, Butler, Goldschmidt. My other 2 come down to Craig, Weaver, and Dickey. Weaver in the 9th is great value, as are Craig and Dickey at those draft postions. I am leaning towards Weaver and Craig, but is Dickey in the 21st round too good to give up?

I am also skeptical about Dickey - but to keep him for a 21st round pick seems like I should take the risk, even if I flip him after the draft for another top SP. He would have to be pretty bad to not live up to a 21st round pick. Is Craig a better long term keeper anyway - thinking beyond 2013?
Normally, I would say do not keep Dickey, but you got him in the 21st round. A 21st round NL Cy Young winner is amazing.
I think Dickey will blow chunks this year. I would keep him for the draft, then trade him for another big name player or prospects. Also keep Weaver as the Angels will crush with him on the mound.
