I had plenty of hitting and needed a number one pitcher. I proposed it and he accepted it.

I gave up Fielder and Doug Fister
I got Verlander

  You claim to have traded from a team strength to get what you thought you needed to improve your team. If in fact you improved your team, then that would qualify as a 'good trade'.
