    Who's best to pick?

4th year dynasty league with deep rosters. I'm looking at prospects/rookies.

Drafting Tavares #1 then I have picks 13, 25, etc...

Is Jose Fernandez, Taijuan Walker, Mike Zunino, Xander Bogaerts the better next pick granted they dont get scooped up after my first pick?

Fernandez I think will be the Marlins #1 by september. Walker probably has another year of seasoning maybe a september call up. Zunino is blocked by like 4 other catchers but has the skills to be the next big bat at catcher. And Bogaerts is probably a year or two away unless he tears things up, but should be a star

They all have star ability with different times to reach the majors. Any thoughts?

    • Zunino is that man. With him and Tavares you'd have the two best hitters in the minor leagues. He may be blocked this year but Shoppach and even Montero are not long term options. I doubt Bogaerts doesn't get picked between 1 and 13.

      • First I doubt Zunino lasts until pick 13, and second I think people are way too high on him. He's essentially the same prospect as Matt Wieters was. His ceiling is great but the defensive aspects of the position can take a lot out of player, and as he gets to the majors he'll be more focused on defense then his bat.

I'd personally take Byron Buxton if he's there at 13. Further away but considering it's your second pick it won't hurt you.

      • Thanks, I've been trying to find a good next catcher as well. I have Brian McCann but he was broken all of 2012. I picked up Mesoraco but he didnt do anything and I have gary sanchez (who i might end up dropping depending on his time to the majors)
