    (It's a 10-team roto league.)
    I can have 5 keepers-right now I'm keeping Mike Trout, Bryce Harper, Cole Hamels, Jose Bautista, and Felix Hernandez. I would be losing, most importantly, B.J. Upton and R.A. Dickey. I have the #7 pick in a snake draft. The guy with the #5 pick proposed trading it and Martin Prado for Jose Bautista. Do I do it?

      No. Prado on new team having lost best player doesn't project highly to me. Bautista on the hand has gained a Reyes and Lawrie should improve and his Beast Mode season capability can't be dealt away for 2spots and a low 2nd tier level player of Prado's. Your 5 Keepers are Legit stick with them. Only thing I'd consider is trading away a Hamels/Felix or Dickey combo of 2 for a top tier 1b/3b. If a team has only 4 good keepers and like Pitchers and own a Fielder,Votto,Pujols, or Miggy I'd try acquiring them. BJ Upton isn't worthy of Keeping in your 10team league on any team so you cant trade him. Now Keeping one of Hamels or Felix and acquiring a top tier Infield Bat is a great starter team with your OF set an Ace and 1 top Position player in infield. Dickey is an Ace as well its just a wonder how he performs in AL.
      You can stand pat do nothing and be fine. But if you can attain a top 16 type player to add to the Bautista,Trout,Harper top 16 you have now It will be quite an intimidating team.

      I wouldn't do it, but if I did, I would consider keeping BJ and throwing back Prado. I think you should try to get the #7 pick and another and potentially pull the trigger. Having picks #5, #7, and another early round pick can make a huge difference in a keeper league where only 5 are kept.

      I agree that you don't need to keep so many pitchers. You should see if anyone will bite on Dickey for a pick. You'll be able to get Prado back with those picks, you'd also be able to get Hamels back at pick 5.

      A little of a trickey situation, but I'm all for gathering extra early draft picks.
