Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Hello I took Jurickson Profar with my first pick in my leagues prospect draft, we can draft 5 prospects. In my league a prospect is a player with less than 60 IP in MLB and less than 150 AB in MLB. so was that a good pick or not.
Yeah can't go wrong with a guy who was rated #1 Prospect by most who rank them. I'd maybe have taken a pick on one of the top Pitchers, Bundy,Walker,Cole,Hultzen. I think these 4 are legit Aces in the making and should meet that level much easier than Profar as a Batter. I think batters need more time to adjust and don't just reach their elite level whereas pitchers have to be seen enough to get a read on them by batters. If they are Ace Pitchers by that time the Pitchers will have attained a better ability to be elite thus not losing their initial excellent starts.
Add, to it, there are a lot of SS Prospects in the top 100 so SS is a position that will likely be strong for some time. I'd have taken Myers or Taveras in the OF over Profar as batters

any reasons as to why you like him over Profar but I mean in the end it's a moot point as I already drafted Profar and am probably not gonna draft another SS prospect unless Profar moves to 2nd or something as that's what he was playing in his short stint in the majors.
