that is obvious what i have to do, first year not keeping a pitcher but i like where i am at and i won the league last year so i pick at the turn. I was kind of thinking of picking a hitter/ pitcher combo for about the next 12 rounds or so giving me 10 hitters and 6 pitchers after 16 rounds, any thoughts? i am a proponent of drafting best available.

I`d keep the top 4 then i`d try to get desmond back in the draft. that way you only need a 2b and C. then you can concentrate on P the rest of the draft. It is the deepest position so there should be plenty of decent ones left.
If your 4 are miggy, votto, braun, and trout. Your offense is going to be high end if those guys are healthy. You can surround them with average players who are not category killers and you should be good if you went pitching heavy in the draft early (neil walker, a jackson,). As a head to head league your draft strategy will be fine. It will be easier to do waiver wire pickup for pitching and focus on match-ups.
My thoughts are you should study and list on your own the next 60pitchers on your draft board. Tier them in ranking. If the top tier say 6 are about to run out draft multiple vs 1/1. If the 2nd tier of say 15 are about to run out draft multiple. and so on. You can do this with your positional players you still need. The idea is you don't draft a batter if there's a good chance that player will be around in 24picks still. Likewise with the pitcher. Avoid reaching and nab falling guys. Based on mocks I've done, I'd tab Perez or Rosario at C if possible. 2b/SS Weeks,Utley fall hard. Asdrubal Cabrera/Simmons also fall. Guy for RP so far overlooked is Grilli and Street. Don't forget Rafeal Soriano. SPs are a plenty, but focus on getting guys who should run you 6ip+ starts and 175+IP on the season. At least on my focus within a tier of them. You have such a large headstart on the League with your 4 that there's no need to reach and gamble. Save that for your final 5-7picks once you've pretty much set your lineup.
