Team struggling mightily just in time for the playoffs

Unbelievable. The suspension of Melky Cabrera, major injuries to Jose Bautista and Joey Votto really derailed my season. I was forced to get rid of all three of them to stay in the race for 1st in the season, which would have won me some money. I simply dropped Melky and traded away Bautista and Votto and acquired Josh Hamilton, Alex Rios, Vogelsong, Peavy, Zimmerman. All three pitchers I acquired are in their worst rut of the season and nearly every one of their starts has been bad. The staples of my pitching staff, Bumgarner and Weaver have also been extremely bad lately. Addison Reed and Jensen, who have been consistent all year, have both been in poor too. Offense has been inconsistent but losing those three players and trying to upgrade my pitching staff and retaining similar offensive production has pretty much killed me. I just can't believe how poor my pitchers have done. Now that it's the playoffs, they have started this week off still struggling and it's simply depressing for all the work I put in running the team this year. A big #$%$ you to those players I got is all I have to say.

Anyone make any similar acquisitions or have bad luck this late in the season, just in time for the playoffs?

    • yes, i dropped Burnett, Harrison, and Vogelsong replaced them with (Medlen, B. Anderson, and Torii Hunter) cause of their clear struggles. and i just dropped Kuroda for Wilhelmsen tonight.

      so my pitching is now:
SP: Weaver, Dickey, Cueto, Sale, Miley, Medlen, & Anderson
RP: J. Johnson, Chapman, & Wilhelmsen
