Ya I'm not such to what you referring to when you say "scraps". Ruby already proved last year that given time to recover and seasoning, he can be a very effective pitcher who has the upside of a top of the line starter that can reach 100 MPH on the gun. Webster is also highly regarded and it wouldn't surprise me to see Sands become the power hitter that many have projected with the dimensions of Fenway. Also take into account that as of right now the Dodgers are absorbing as much as $260 million and the Red Sox came out great on this trade. They could have got nothing in return and it still would have been a win in the long term for the Sox.

They got 2 Real good young pitchers, De Jesus will pretty much be like Punto/Ciriaco. Loney who sucks but will prob be 1st this year. Jerry Sands a young top prospect i here. Should put a good power numbers but low avg, maybe 250-260. The Red Sox have to give 12 Million Dollars to the Dodgers i hear. So they dumbed 249 Mill on them. The Red Sox will go out make a big trade and sign some FA this offseason or next and be right back there. Not as the usual Sox but i see as a Orioles type. Decent offense not so good pitching but find how to win. They will prob sign a few FA pitchers.
