Re: Re: Re: Re: Keeper League: Brett Lawrie or Starlin Castro?
Our scoring basically goes like this:
1 point for singles, walks, RBIs and runs, 2 points for a doubles, stolen bases and intentional walks, 3 points for triples and being hit by a pitch, 5 points for a homerun, 10 points for a grand slam and 75 points for a cyle.
Also, -1 for a strikeouts and for being caught stealing.-

Then I still like Castro and Lawrie. each of them A. Have a good chance of hitting for cycles more than Tex does (i know you dont BANK on that) but they also hit more triples or doubles. While Tex does hit more HRs, his average won't be as high as the other two either so they will get more hits and what not. I say go with those two. They give you the best UPSIDE

Thanks for the advice everybody. I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep Lawrie and Castro.
I just hope Lawrie's aggressive style of play doesn't cause him to spend more time on the DL than in the lineup.
Like I said earlier, this is a 9 team league and my keepers will be Castro, Lawrie, Braun, Verlander and Cain. Do you guys think I made out alright?
I have nothing on the guy with Migeul Cabrera, Dustin Pedroia, Matt Kemp, Felix Hernadez and CC Sabathia, but I plan on beating him with the rest of my picks.
