Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I've made a few moves and this is my team as of today. 10 team h2h standard 5X5 categories.
OF Beltran, Rios, Cruz
BN Napoli (DL)
SP: Weaver, Dickey, Lynn, Morrow, Fister, Billingsly, Jackson
RP: Soriano, K. Jansen, Hanrahan, Nathan, Wilhelmson (Street: DL)
I'm also in the process of trying to get the following deal done that I think would help me out with R/HR/RBI/W/K/ERA/WHIP. Thoughts on my team with and without this deal please? I'll answer back
GET: Aramis Ramirez/Teixiera/Fiers
I went ahead and proposed the trade as Longo/Kipnis/Soriano for Prince/Zimmerman/Fiers. I'm less confident that this version will go through, but the guy I'm proposing was using Middlebrooks at 3B with no back up and no good 3b on f/a, so Longo should look very appealing to him.
I want to make this move for serveral reasons. #1 there are only 5 slots where you can play a releiver so when Street comes off the DL at playoff time and the deadline is passed I'll be stuck dropping one of my great RP and letting somoene grab them for free. Better to trade him now. Also, I'm in third and my main competition in the playoffs has a ton of HR mashers. I'll be able to beat him in runs//average even without Longo but if I could turn Longo and bench-riding Kipnis into a couple of guys who produce homeruns it should help me match up better with him.

i like your team just the way it is. you have a-gon at 1B so you don't need tex and longo is lights out better than aramis. but i do like fiers and you dont need soriano with the other closers you have. but its not enough to do the deal. stand pat.
