Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I was originally offered Peavy for Choo. Everyone said I should get more back for Peavy. Does this deal look more fair? If not, should I add Colby Lewis in order to get Lee and Choo?
With Lewis he may think about it.
It is clear he was looking to move a position player for a pitcher, him throwing in Lee makes it a lateral move for what he wants to upgrade. Doubt this trade will happen.
With Lewis however, he is getting some extra pitching help, so he may entertain it, but if I where him I would not.

I agree he may not do it, but there is some background that says he might.
Its a keeper league (keep 8) and he had Lee from Round 3. He has already decided that he doesn't want to keep 6 picks of first 8 rounds. He has Verlander, Strasburg and Greinke that he will keep, plus he wants to keep Hamilton, Hanley, McCutcheon, Pujols and Posey.
This deal enables him to keep the players he wants, plus get some decent guys in return. His pitching is already quite good, even without Lee
