Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I'm in a 12 keeper league (took over a team at the start of the year) and it's not going to be my year in this one. 27.5 games out, no real chance of getting any better. As a result, I'm looking towards next season.
I'm sick of Zimmerman. The question: would you drop him for Anthony Rizzo? I traded Teixeira last week and now have a platoon of Hart and Swisher manning 1B. I'd love to get my hands on Rizzo, as a gamble.
I am also considering stashing Hultzen, for whom I'll likely drop one of my two shortstops: Furcal or Hart. Which one would you choose? I have Bonifacio on the DL as well.
My team is Wieters, Hart, Uggla, Middlebrooks, Furcal, Trumbo, Rios, BJ Upton, Heyward, Swisher, Zimmerman, Hardy.
Pitching: Lee, AJ Burnett, McDonald, McCarthy, Josh Johnson, Edwin Jackson, Daniel Hudson, Papelbon, Frieri, Clippard, Bauer.
12 team H2H, 6x6 with OBP and K/BB. Thanks!

Me too, I'm dying to get my hands on Rizzo and Hultzen. Swisher is valuable in our league, as we have OBP. I like him as a bench option. I guess Hart and Furcal would indeed be the odd men out, even though Furcal has been hitting better than Hardy recently.

There is no way in hell I'm keeping Zimmerman. Aside from the fact that we have an inflation system for keepers (which would make Zimmerman a third round pick next year, which is ridiculous looking at what he's done in the last two years), I also have two other 3B (Trumbo/Middlebrooks) I like better.
I'm not buying the patience thing on Zimmerman. He's been awful for the past 2 or 3 seasons and is injury prone. It's almost July and he's still hitting like crap.
Hart hasn't been awesome either, but at least he's garnering trade interest.
But I get your point.
