Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
12 team roto 5x5.
I'm leaning towards Parker or AJ but Ike and R Weeks could go as well.
Here is my team.
SS: D Gordon
OF: Cruz, Rios, Quentin
UTIL: J Upton, Ike Davis
Bench: Jesus Montero, R Weeks
SP: Hamels, Stras, Garza, Burnett, Parker, Kennedy
RP: Cook, Clippard, Putz, Nathan, Casilla
Parker, but I think Rizzo is still a few weeks away from the majors. Also, he stunk when he got called up last year, so I don't know how good he will be if he doesn't get consistant ABs.
Please answer mine.

Yea I wouldn't drop Gordon (21 SB's tough to find), but I'd certainly be OK dropping Weeks and Davis and seeing who has SS eligibility + Rizzo. Cozart and E. Cabrera come to mind if the Plouffes, Seagers, Lowrie's, etc. are already gone.
I would drop Davis or Weeks, whoever you are less likely to start. I don't see either of them having a better season than the players you can get on waivers, and Rizzo is a guy to get excited about. As for AJ, I'd really try to trade him before dropping him. I've gotten some nice returns for him and the window's not closed yet (though it's close). I like Parker's upside...I'd rather wait and see with him than with Weeks or Davis.

It sounds like you play h2h. 5 closers could be overkill in shallow h2h, but it's a very nice # to have in almost any roto format. Aside from potentially winning the SV cat, you also pad ERA/WHIP w/ the elite closers, and they also provide strong K/9 rates without eating up a lot of innings (important due to IP max).
