Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I'm looking for a stable closer. Papelbon's owner counter-offered me Lynn for Papelbon. He also noted that he is willing to trade his closer(s) for Dickey, Lynn, McDonald, Haren, or Lee.
Other closers he has are Valverde, Broxton, and Perez.
I was only really looking at Papelbon, but maybe I can get a 2-for-1 by trading a higher pitcher.
Who, if any, would you guys recommend I trade?
Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

isn't Dickey > Lynn and Papelbon > Perez?
He already have a pending offer from him, Lynn for Papelbon. If the above rankings are true, then Dickey and Lynn for perez and Papelbon wouldn't make sense. Unless my valuation is off or I'm overlooking something.
Thanks for your reply btw.
You could try to package Worley and a closer (Wilhelmsen ) for Papelbon, but you'd probably get rejected. Or if you count holds, you could try Worley and Robertson, as Robertson lost the job to Soriano. You have some room to work with. As a last resort you could go Lynn for Papelbon and have a great closer.

Thanks for your reply, Robo. I think the guy is only interested in Lynn, Haren, Lee, McDonald, or Dickey.
Who would you keep ROS, Lynn or McDonald? The other I would offer for Papelbon. He offered me Lynn, so I know that is possible. Is McDonald for Papelbon possible?
How would rank those 5 pitchers ROS?
Lee > Haren > Dickey > Lynn > McDonald?
Lee being winless isn't really his fault.
Will Haren get his ducks in line?
Dickey has turned over a new leaf and I think he's the real deal.
Not sure if Lynn and McDonald are for real though. With Lynn, everyone was saying to sell high on him all season. Now would be the best time after striking out 11; but that is assuming he is going to regress...
McDonald is actually posting better numbers than Lynn, but has less wins.
What to do? Anyone?
