Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
You shouldn't buy it, but you shouldn't dismiss it.
Dick actually has made good points on Beckham. He's just 25, not everyone comes to the pros and magically figures it out.
I'm not saying this isn't just a tease of a streak, it might be, but he's def worth adding to see if this is the turning point because if it is, the add could really pay off.

yeah not buying yet either I need to see a longer stretch ( a month plus) without him slowing down to buy. We've seen these kinds of bursts from him before then he just goes away and never comes back.

Beckham played 59 minor league baseball games...TOTAL. 59 (14 in A ball; 38 in AA ball; and 7 in AAA ball).
For comparison, he played 71 baseball games his senior season in college. Beckham was rushed to the major leagues.
Bottom line...the kid had 53 collegiate HRs.
Beckham was in the majors at age 22...and never had enough professional games beforehand to figure out the wood bat. Three years later...it seems like he has it figured out.
Gordon Beckham (college and pro stats):
I buy it.
He finally got comfortable in the majors and his job is secure.
He was a beast in college setting the University of Georgia HR record. The kid can hit and finally figured out professional baseball. He was rushed to the majors and he wasn't ready. He still isn't ready but he should be a top 10 fantasy 2B for the next decade.
