Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
**Read this whole thing** (Commish: Surf - aka Chuck C)
I replied to a post yesterday which said this guy Surf was wanting a replacement Manager in a Keeper League (called The Abusement Park (Y5)).
We exchanged emails, then this commish (Chuck) sent me an invite. I had a decent lineup, and my team was 13th place out of 14 teams.
As soon as I was in there I received trade offers from 3 or 4 guys. They were all wanting Votto, and all of their proposals were weak. I rejected each offer and let them know I was hanging onto Votto.
Today (about 19 hours after the team was transferred to me) I was taken out as Manager by the commish. No explanation, no heads up, nothing!
I suspect that some teams are owned by the same person, and I guess since I didn't want to give Votto away then some of them complained and demanded I be removed. Lame!
So, don't bother wasting your time with Surf/Chuck or his sad little league (The Abusement Park (Y5))!!
Just to solidify the story further, here is the original post under the "general" section for this guys league replacement ad:
The Truth had just posted in that thread, so I figured I would include the link right here for it, too.

This reminds me of them cable commercials... guy joins a league, commish sends garbage trade, guy rejects trade, commish kicks guy out of the league for not accepting trade, commish talks trash about guy for going about his life and not setting up his line-up or saying hi to the league within 19hrs...don't go joining "replacement manager needed leagues" or you can end up like this. lol
Jay Bird this Surf/Chuck dude is exactly what you said he was & that is a cheat. His responses on this post give that fact away. You are far better off that he did replace you (probably with himself so he could get Votto). Take it as a lesson learned.
Based on everything here, you should have definitely given this guy a chance to manage the team you asked him to take over, period.
I mean you didn't let him manage it, instead you tried to dictate or micro-manage what he was doing.
Giving someone only less than 1 whole day, when you are offering to have them take over a team, that is totally ridiculous!
You can't blame anyone for calling it like they see it. Purely shady business!

These type "commissioners" are pathetic. Just this past football season I was invited to join a league in which the "commish", early on, colluded on trades with his "brother's" team. He had the sole veto and managers started complaining. He let the league vote on trades after that, and when all of his suspect trades for the next couple of weeks got vetoed, he then locked out every manager who had complained from their teams, and proceeded to give several of those teams to his "wife" and others until he was basically one of the only managers left.
Funny part is, one of the other guys in the league and I found out who the commish was, and it was a guy we worked with and that's how we got the invites. Once we started telling people about it and laughing about it, it affected his reputation at work because people now doubted this guy's integrity and motivations in real-life if that's how he would act in a free game for fun.
Moral of the story: Sometimes being a dick on the internet comes back to bite you in the ass in the real world.
I have 1 team in the league and the highest I have placed is 4th place in 3 seasons.
This guy got the boot because I put an ad up in the message board for a team in my 5th year keeper league and in the 19 hours he was in the league he did nothing. No "hey what's up" on the message board, no moves with a team that needed moves made and at 2pm today he hadn't set his lineup.
So because of the ad I placed I had other suitable managers interested in the team so I choose one of them.
He has shown more commitment to this thread than he did with the team he took over... and after seeing his remarks here I could not be happier about replacing him.
What a surprise! There is no need for you to, not really.
You have already revealed yourself for exactly what you are. Nice job trying to save face, but it backfired on you!
I am gonna take a stab in the dark here and say that you have no idea what the word integrity even means, and I am sure that isn't far off base.
Stop wasting peoples time!
Hahaha @ Jay Bird!
Sorry it didn't work out for ya bud. I can see it has really affected you in a negative way. My advice to you would be to just move on. I have and with that being said I will no longer be replying to you or this thread ;)
