What is wrong with this guy? Everyone else in the Blue Jays lineup seems to be hitting better than him. Kelly Johnson is making him look like Brandon Inge. I really hope he doesn't drop back to pre 2010 numbers.

LMAO!
Bautista is a career .252 hitter that had exactly ZERO SEASONS with a slugging percentage above .420 before 2010.
Two seasons does not a career make. As I point out all the time...even Brady Anderson hit 50 HR once. Any MLB player can dominate for one month or look good for one season. Sustained contributions are even more difficult.
Anybody that drafted Bautista in the first round or the first 50 picks is a dumbass and gets what they deserve.
Other than 2010 and 2011, Bautista never hit more than 16 HRs in a season and never had more than 63 RBI or 6 SB.
Bautista may have some value...but Josh Willingham has more value.- View Replies

You negate to mention the fact that he was never a starter before joining the Blue Hats either. He's shown the power when given the playing time period. The Toronto batting coach has worked with his batting eye and his approach at the plate has been much better as well.

I was about to say, I didn't trade for Josh Willingham, I traded for a top 5 player. So far, not good.

While I despise Dick Strong and his arrogant, demeaning posts, his advice which is accurate only about 25% of the time, and he basically needs shot point blank in the middle of his face and put out of his pathetic misery to make the world a better place.....he is spot on about Jose Bautista. Bautista is help in 2, maybe 3 stats....HR's, RBI's, and Runs when he is "on". What he hurts in the other stats outweighs what he gains in those three. The twat who said Bautista is a top 5 player is the poster chile for fantasy baseball cluelessness.....

He's always been a fairly good source of power. It's just been a matter of playing time. He's kept his walk rate up, so he's just been having bad lick putting the ball in play is it. He should still turn it around. Don't expect as many HR now unless he goes on a ridiculous tear.
