Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I had Boesch on my team earlier in the year because of him hitting in the two hole however he hasnt been able to do much and if u cant do much with Cabrera and Fielder behind you then there is something wrong. Take Alan Craig he has showed no signs of slowing down when he is healthy,
Allen Craig will be a beast bench player with his position availability (2b + Of and soon 1b and potentially 3b). The thing with Craig will be his playing time, he isn't a good fielder any where he plays so don't expect time at 2b when Berkman comes back, he might get a start 3-4 days a week and pinch hit the other 3 days.
Boesch has struggled early this season, but I expect him to turn it around.
It really depends, if Boesch is your every day starting fielder than I would kind of be inclined to stick because your likely to miss three starts a week with Craig.
What are the other fa options at 1b? If I drafted Youk, I would have targeted a solid back up for him.

I originally drafted Lucas Duda but dropped him for Mike Trout.
Duda's still available... Luke Scott's also available
Boesch is occasionally getting starts for my team at the UTL spot when he gets a lefty matchup. The rest of my OF consists of Carlos Gonzalez, Nelson Cruz, Alex Gordon, Mike Trout, and Drew Stubbs
I'm sure Craig will be an everyday player. He's four days off of the DL and already hitting cleanup between Holliday and Freese. The Cards wouldn't put a reserve player at cleanup. He's a playoff hero with a potential of .300 BA and 30 hrs.
The only "if" with him is - injuries.
