Team A Gets:
Team B Gets:
Either Jarrod Parker or Eric Bard (Who's a better long-term option of the two?)
The manager of A needs pitching and the manager of B needs an upgrade at first. Thoughts?
Great advice and questions so far. Thanks! This is going to be a bit long. Apologies in advance.
Full disclosure, I am Team A. The league is a 12 team dynasty, meaning we keep everyone next year too. Eleven of the managers are good, and one stinks.
My pitching staff has been decimated with injuries and guys stinking it up:
My current 1st basemen are Hosmer, Tex, and Cabrera. Cabrera will eventually lose 1st base eligibility, leaving me with Tex and Hosmer. If I get rid of Hosmer, then I'm left with just Tex. I have Cabrera, Lawrie, and Zimmerman at 3rd so I could make a deal there. I expect Hosmer to be a stud and it would leave me short staffed at 1st. That's basically what's keeping me from pulling the trigger.
I'm not one to panic and have been good with thinking long-term, but unless I shore up my pitching staff I'm sitting on the outside looking in this year. (I lost last year's championship in a tie breaker). Thinking aloud now, but my best bet might be to try and move a 3B and/or Ramos for pitching and keep Hosmer.
The rest of my team:
PS: I just got notice that Team B is trading Andre Ethier, Matt Moore, and Madison Bumgarner for Pujols. He's selling pitching to shore up first.
