Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I know we're only 3 days into this week, but i'm already getting killed in my match-up. and if this match-up were to end today, my record on the year would be 17-31-2, good for 11th place in a 12-team league, which is insane for the team i've built.
despite having 4 players with O-ranks in the top 14, and 7 in the top 100, i currently only have Headley and Altuve who are ranked in the top-100, and Headley may have gone cold.
so, do i wait it out and fall further, or do i become a seller?
12-team H2H - AVG + OBP
C: M. Montero
OF: Bautista, Zobrist, BJ Upton
DL: C. Young
SP: Weaver, Hamels, Wilson, Greinke, Cahill, Jimenez
RP: Perez, Rodriguez, Jansen, Reed
i'll likely be dropping Jimenez for another 6th starter or an additional OF (Jay or Fowler probably)
there are alot of higher ranked guys not producing like they should right now it will turn around when the weather heats up and pitchers start losing a little the Big Bats will raise up like they do every season

Cano - 1st round pick
Fielder - 2nd round pick
Hamels - 3rd round pick
Weaver - 4th round pick
Bautista - bought low from a Bautista critic (maybe he was on to something...
Tulo - bought low on him as well, packaged the right 3 guys for him, probably got lucky
I think you're on the right track with dropping Jimenez and picking up a BN spot. You have a good lineup they just haven't hit their stride yet. Once Young comes off the DL he'll add some nice numbers for you. Its a shame he went out since he was having a fantastic start to the season.

lol, debatable i guess. but i don't see it as being a bad strategy to buy players who were ranked high going into the season. i was stoked when i was able to buy
Tulo, Bautista, Greinke, and Aramis for
Youk, Werth, Gardner, Cozart, Chapman, Marmol, Parker, Y. Escobar
All seem like great deals, right?
i feel like i hit the jackpot for acquiring the most under-performing players. each of my starting 8. who would have guessed Cano, Tulo, Fielder, Bautista, Zobrist, Aramis, Montero, and Upton would all be under-performing this badly???
